Amazing Kite Surfing

Kite surfing is a sport invented a few decades ago. This activity consists in tracting people on a short board. To practice this sport, we need some wind, water and a bit of madness. In fact, kite surfing is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the world. It is fast, fun and suitable for people of all ages. You can do jumps and tricks or simply cruise along the coast. Kite surfing works in the waves and on flat water. So. as long as you are reasonably fit and a competent swimmer. It is the ideal sport for anyone who loves being out on the water.

GETTING STARTED

Anyone can learn to kite surf, whatever our age, weight or experience.

Kite surfing requires a lot of technique, but it takes only a few weeks to learn the right skills depending on your motivation. The most important skill, of course, is flying the kite. That’s why a lot of kite surfing schools recommend starting out with a trainer kite, a small three lines kite. The first step to learn kite surfing is training on the beach with a small tree lines kite, then the student goes on the water with a real kite, without the board. In doing so, he will do “body dragging” which consists in being tracted by the kite on the water without a board. Finally,  the last step is the tack off with the kite and the board. When all of this is finish, this means that the student has learnt how to wind up and thus, ending the lesson and being able to ride all alone!

WHERE CAN YOU KITESURF

Peoples can kite surf all over the world but the kite needs some wind to fly and the kite surfer needs water to surf. The wind’s direction has to be parallel of the beach for kite surfing perpendicularly of the beach. If the wind comes perpendicularly of the beach, then the sport can became dangerous.

BECOMING A PRO

Since the beginning, a lot of people have tried a lot of different spots and tricks. That is how some different kinds of branches have appeared like kite surfing on big waves, going as fast as possible, doing some freestyle or jumping as high as possible. International championships exists for all branches but there is not one competition one time a year, there are different steps depending on the weather conditions so it can be all around the world and kite surfers are warned a few weeks before.
